Deuphil Kaufmann, Software Engineer at Safeway jumpstarting the workshop

The 4th DevCon Android Code Camp (Professionals) last April 5, 2014 at Jump Experience Center was surprisingly in-demand in terms of interested attendees with 35 slots already full on day one registration and 116 were on waitlist.

With the aim to build development skills in the Android mobile platform, the camp trainers Evan Dale Aromin (Software Engineer at and Deuphil Kaufmann (Software Engineer at Safeway) conducted a workshop on building the participant’s first Android application.

Before the actual start of the camp, the welcoming remarks and introduction to DevCon was given by Nathaniel Cailo, VP-Programs of the organization. It was followed by Justine Raagas, Elance Representative who flew all the way from Cagayan de Oro to share about the opportunities in freelancing. Then the last partner talk was by Christopher (Topey) Calangi, our venue partner shared about Jump Experience Center.

The camp was made possible by Smart DevNet, Jump Experience Center, Elance and GitHub.
