More than fifty (50) professionals attended the Python Code Camp (Professionals) last April 11, 2015 which was held at the 6750 Microsoft Building, Ayala Ave., Makati City. It was kick started by the registration at 8:30 am followed by the introduction to DevCon by Mr. Nathaniel Cailo the DevCon’s VP for Programs. Ms. Haifa Carina – DevCon Executive Director introduced the speakers namely Mr. Sony Valdez and Mr. Mark Steve Samson of Python Philippines.

Mr. Sony Valdez conducted beginners’ workshop starting off from the Python setup up to the syntax basics of the language. Flask – a microframework for Python was the next key topic and exercises challenged the participants as they simultaneously accomplished the tasks given to them which covered the whole morning session of the said event.

The afternoon session was spearheaded by Mr. Mark Steve Samson whereas advanced Python topics specifically Django – a high level Python Web framework. A mini-hackathon was given to the participants which challenged their newly acquired skills in Python, Flask and Django.

Ms. Gibelle, Mr. Chan and Mr. Michael were able to successfully accomplish the challenge. Special Github stickers and DevCon tshirts were awarded to them.

Followed after was the hashtag raffle and Mr. Argem Flores won the raffle since he hashtagged pythoncodecamp from the installation up to the last part of the workshop.
