TAGUIG: The Android Code Camp (Professionals) was held on May 13, 2017 at Zendesk Philippines, Net Park Building, BGC, Taguig City.

The event of 40 participants organized by Developers Connect (DevCon) Philippines, a non-profit organization that promotes Filipino developers, in partnership with Zendesk PhilippinesAccenture Philippines, and Cloudstaff.

As the world becomes more mobile based, android coding opens up more opportunities for everyone in any industry. One of the lessons of Code Camp is that Android is a versatile field shaped by each participant’s own interests.

Before the code camp officially started, JM Ramos, Software Engineer at Zendesk Philippines, welcome the participants and introduces DevCon – on its activities, upcoming events, and opportunities to collaborate and volunteer.

After that, Ian De Jesus, Zendesk Product Manager, showcase Zendesk our official venue partner and gives some tidbits on Android Programming.

Also present in the event was Jorja Villagracia of Cloudstaff gave a brief presentation about their company.

Speaker at this camp was Monica Labbao Mobile Engineer at Rogomi, Inc.

Our speaker refreshes some programming basics using the Android Studio IDE. Camp attendees created programs at their own pace through some exercises which emphasizes a hands-on, visual approach to android rather than focusing on syntax.

The entire event was a great success and this could not have made it happen without the support of speakers, participants and volunteers.
